DESCRIPTION:
Casli's Cottage is a uniquely designed and perfectly positioned family home that has been divided into three apartments catering for up-market and affordable accommodation. The house is in a prime spot sheltered from the East wind with magnificent views of the rocks and breakers.
The apartments are situated a mere 70 meters from the sea shore and a three minute walk to the swimming beach. You can watch the fishermen pull in their catch from the patio and front lawn or watch the dolphins surf in the breakers from the comfort of your bed. Whales are often seen from about July when they come into the area to calve. On very quiet still evenings and early mornings the blue duiker can be seen eating on the lawn.
Self Catering Accommodation
All three units are self catering, well equipped and spacious. They can be hired individually or together making the accommodation ideal for larger groups or families. No pets are allowed and no smoking indoors please. Guests are required to bring their own beach and bath towels and DSTV decoder.
Unit 1:
Is an upstairs open plan, spacious apartment with full bathroom, two three quarter beds, balcony and private braai area and sea view.
Unit 2:
The family unit has three bedrooms furnished with two single beds, one double bed and one queen size bed, two bathrooms, (shower, toilet, basin) kitchenette, outside hot and cold shower lounge / dining room opening out onto the lawn with portable braai and an uninterrupted view of the breakers. This unit can accommodate six people sharing. This unit is ideal for little ones as there is a fabulous open lawn for them to run and play on.
Unit 3:
The upmarket or Lux (Luxury) unit is a spacious two bedroom unit with fabulous full en-suite bathroom with a double shower (honeymooners delight), fully equipped kitchen with large open plan lounge / dining room. The lounge and main bedroom open out onto the patio with portable braai facilities. There is also an outside hot and cold shower. This unit is ideal for a couple wanting to break away and have some real quality time together. There is an awesome view of the breakers and sea from every room.
Attractions & Activities
Glengarriff is a relatively unknown and unspoilt holiday resort approximately 25 kilometers north of East London and falls within the Wild Coast borders. It is on the Wild Coast Jikeleza Route and the Strandlopers Trail. Glengariffs position offers all the convenience of being close to a main city whilst being out of the hustle and bustle of city life. From Glengariff guests can take day trips to many other popular holiday destinations like the Hogsback Mountains and other Amatola Mountain resorts or up the Wild Coast to Trennerys, Kei Mouth, Morgans Bay, Haga Haga, Bosbok Strand and Rooiwalle.
Closer by within a three to twenty kilometer radius of Glengariff are other popular resorts that offer many activities and adventure sports along with restaurants and pubs. Like Glengariff the beaches at these resorts are unspoilt and have wonderful rock pools, swimming beaches and lagoons. There are also several shopping complexes in the area with a Spar supermarket, bottle store, butchery, ATM, petrol station, video shop, chemist, garden centre and many more small businesses.
The city centre is an easy 20 minute drive with tar all the way. East London has several beautiful golf courses, a museum, aquarium, zoo, a casino, theater, cinemas, shopping complexes and all the usual attractions of a city. |
