DESCRIPTION:
Nestled in the indigenous Eastern Cape fynbos, high on the ridge of St Francis, overlooking the bay and surrounding Kouga Mountains, is Cottage on the Hill. This charming 5 star Guest House will enchant you.
A feeling of peace and tranquillity invade your soul as you laze at the pool or sunbathe on your private deck with lovely sea views. Sip sundowners as you enjoy the last rays of sunlight over the bay. The warning cry of the Francolin can be heard in the surrounding fynbos. An inquisitive mongoose or shy Cape Robin may surprise you, while you take a refreshing outdoor shower or bath in the enclosed boma. The resident pair of giant eagle owls can be heard on the thatch roof late at night and their soothing sound will lull you into contented sleep.
Accommodation
The property consists of the main house with the Bay Breakfast Room and Yellow wood pub; the Guinea-fowl Cottage is separate and is about 30 metres from the Francolin and Mongoose Suites, which overlook the natural rock swimming pool with cascading waterfalls. Aloes contrasted with the crimson bougainvillea surround the pool in a protective embrace, holding this exclusive place forever in your heart.
Mongoose Suite
The 75m² suite is stylish and elegant in design, decorated with Persian rugs and original oil paintings from local artists. Relax in the private garden with abundant bird life or barbeque on your patio. Drink in the tranquil atmosphere of this unique location.
Francolin Suite
Honeymoon on top of the world in the Francolin Suite; amazing sea and mountain views from the Victorian bath, king-size bed and very large balcony. Indulge yourself in the beauty and comfort of this romantic suite.
Guinea-Fowl Cottage
Discover the Guinea-fowl cottage and fall in love with this quaint little gem perfectly positioned and fully equipped. The Cottage has two bathrooms; main bedroom with Queen-size bed is en suite with a bath. The shower with additional toilet is in the downstairs area. Lovely sea views can be admired from the upstairs bedroom balcony.

All our suites have private entrances, safe parking on the premises and magnificent sea views from private decks and balconies.
Breakfast
Delicious English breakfasts are served or self catering is an option. The Suites are fully equipped and serviced daily.
