DESCRIPTION:
One of the best kept holiday secrets in the Eastern Cape, Gonubie is situated 15 km’s from East London and takes pride in having achieved blue flag status at its local beach, where the Gonubie River runs into the sea. Sightings of Humpback and Southern Right Whales making their way from Mozambique to the icy waters of the Antarctic and back again are a common occurrence in the Gonubie bay and along the coast line.
The whales can be observed from the shore at one of the many coffee shops on offer, or from boat based viewing which is an unbelievable and truly humbling experience. In addition dolphins are frequent visitors to the bay and are often spotted quite close to the shores.
Emoyeni B&B is located just 350 meters from Gonubie beach. Close by amenities include, the Bird Sanctuary, Golf Course and the scenic boardwalk which leads across the bay to the beach and river. A good selection of restaurants and coffee shops, as well as the Gonubie Hotel are within walking distance (no more than 500 Meters). There are also shopping centres and several take away restaurants in close proximity.
Accommodation
Accommodation is clean, comfortable and homely in a tranquil environment; 4 well appointed rooms with en suite bathrooms 2 with shower and 2 with both a bath and shower. All rooms are air conditioned (Heating and Cooling function) have ceiling fans and TV with all the standard SABC channels, E TV, MNET and DSTV. In room tea and coffee facilities are provided.
Rooms have separate entrances i.e. access can be gained either from the main house or from the outside entertainment/garden area.
Black Room:
Sleeps 2 people either in 2 single beds or a double bed. All duvets are down and linen is of the finest quality percale, artificially stuffed duvets are available for guests with allergies. Bathroom en suite (shower). Access via main house as well as separate entrance from the garden. The external door leads on to the pool and garden area.
Blue Room:
Sleeps 2 people in either 2 single beds or a double bed. All duvets are down and linen is of the finest quality percale, artificially stuffed duvets are available for guests with allergies. Bathroom en suite (shower and bath). Access via main house as well as separate entrance from the garden. The external door leads on to a private patio area.
Red Room:
Sleeps 2 people in either 2 single beds or a double bed. All duvets are down and linen is of the finest quality percale, artificially stuffed duvets are available for guests with allergies. Bathroom en suite (shower and bath). Access via main house as well as separate entrance from the garden. The external door leads on to a small balcony overlooking the pool and garden area.
Green Room:
Sleeps 2 people either in 2 single beds or a double bed. All duvets are down and linen is of the finest quality percale, artificially stuffed duvets are available for guests with allergies. Bathroom en suite (shower). Access via garden entrance, no access from the main house. This is the most private room and the door leads on to a private balcony.
Breakfast and Dining
Full English or continental breakfasts are served either in the dining area or weather permitting at the outside entertainment area. Dinners and packed lunches can be provided by arrangement. Braai area is available by arrangement either prepared for guests or self service.
Facilities
Honesty bar, fax, photo copy, wireless internet, telephone line, credit card facility, parking, outdoor garden and entertainment area with braai and pool. Shuttle service to various destinations can be arranged.
Local Activities
Paddling, kayaking, cycling, fishing (River, Deep Sea, Rock and Surf, Kayak), walks, hiking, golf, game viewing, surfing, horse riding.

We regret that we do not cater for pets
Children
Children are welcome, however we have no special facilities such as cots for small children and notify parents that the pool is open and unprotected therefore not child safe. The proprietors and staff of Emoyeni cannot and do not take responsibility for the safety of children.
Smoking
In consideration of other guests smoking is not permitted in the rooms or dining area, however ash trays are provided on the balconies of all rooms as well as the outside entertainment area / pub, please feel free to smoke wherever there are ash trays
