DESCRIPTION:
The beautiful 20 acre Estate is situated on the East Kleinemonde River and very easy to find, a 1 minute drive from the coastal Route 72. Riverine Estate offers a fully equipped, self catering holiday house / cottage that sleeps 6 guests in glorious surroundings on the river.
Stunning views, birdlife (hear the “cry of Africa“ see the magnificent Fish Eagle, he resides here), indigenous flora and fauna (bushbuck and duiker). The wide white sand and dunes of unmatched beaches are just 2 minutes away. Safe swimming. The East and West rivers at Kleinemonde are close by and offer recreation for the holiday maker. Passive boating and canoeing, the West River has skiing zone. The Estate is suited for a superb holiday or for traveller’s en route stop-over.
ACCOMMODATION
Riverine Cottage: Is luxury appointed, self-catering and sleeps 6 comfortably. (an extra child can be accommodated) Baby cot on request. All rooms have fans. Has three bedrooms, a queen size bed and four single beds. Good quality linen. One has an en-suite shower, basin and toilet. The full bathroom is large, double size shower (disabled friendly), bath, basin and toilet.
The large kitchen is well equipped, catering for up to eight persons. Fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, gas and electric kettles. Has counter / diner and open plan to comfortable lounge. TV (3ch). Coffee, tea, rusks etc provided for en-route travellers. The patio has outdoor dining and overlooks the swimming pool, lawns and magnificent views up and down the river.
Trampoline. Portable braai. Safe parking. The owners reside on the property.
THATCHED BUSHVELD BOMA
Large, beautiful and relaxing, is furnished, counter server, bar and braai. The great feel of Africa. Hillside and Boma are lit up at night. From here, a bush walk through the property to the Riverside Lapa.
RIVERSIDE LAPA
This is rustic, has floor braai, picnic table and benches, canoe and boat mooring.
SERVICES
Partially serviced, housekeeping on Tuesday and Thursday (except for Public Holidays and weekends). Linen is changed depending on the length of stay. Towels are changed every 3rd day. Start up toilet tissue and soaps are provided. Firewood is provided for braai cooking.

Laundry service at reasonable rates.
LOCAL ACTIVITIES / ATTRACTIONS
St Francis health Spa - 8 km, Horse riding and quad biking - 2 km , Great Fish River - golf, good dining - 8 km, Lighthouse. Bathurst, the 1820 Settler village, visit the largest pineapple in South Africa, the old mill, quaint shops - 12 km. Grahamstown, the City of the Saints -0 60 km.
KLEINEMONDE
Kleinemonde has a good restaurant, an essentials café, petrol and a police station.
PORT ALFRED
10 km west of Kleinemonde, good shopping, many restaurants, with Pick n Pay and Spar for provisions. Is situated on the tidal Kowie River. The Royal Port Alfred Marina has a small boat harbour, offers cruises up the river and out to sea. Scuba diving school. Royal Port Alfred golf club.
