DESCRIPTION:
Summerstrand Beach Lodge is perfectly situated four houses from our lovely Pollok Beach and walking distance to all three of our other main beaches, such as Hobie Beach, Kings Beach and Humewood Beach.
We are situated next to Pick and Pay shopping centre and are walking distance to all major sports venues, Boardwalk Casino, entertainment, restaurants, bars, cinemas, tenpin bowling and lots more. In addition we are literally two minutes drive from the Humewood Golf Course, five minutes drive from Port Elizabeth International Airport, 400m from Pearson High School, Summerwood Primary School and two minutes drive from Nelson Mandela Bay University.
We are perfectly situated for a variety of day trips to the Addo Elephant Park, Kariega, Sibuya, Schotia, Shamwari, Lalibela, Amakhala and many other popular game reserves. Or to simply just take a long, relaxing walk on the beach … and on the way back, stop at the Marine Hotel and enjoy a refreshing, ice cold beer or cocktail on the veranda overlooking the sea.
Accommodation
Summerstrand Beach Lodge is graded with AA Tourism (Highly Recommended). We offer fully self-catering or Bed and Breakfast units, all with their own private entrances. All our units are equipped with M-Net, fans, heaters, safes and fully equipped kitchens. In addition we also offer secure parking behind remote gates, braai areas and a pool for your entertainment. Complimentary tea and coffee is available on request.
The thatched dining and entertainment area, with braai facilities can be rented for meetings, private functions or serving of own meals for large groups (eg school groups). This Lapa area can seat 16 to 18 people. This facility is only available for sleep in guests.
Summerstrand Beach Lodge is suitable for business, holiday, overnight or semi permanent accommodation. We cater for all!
Breakfast
We offer breakfast (full English breakfast or Continental), lunch packs and dinner on request which can be served in our thatched breakfast / dining area, or in your room for your convenience.
Additional Facilities
A laundromat is only 100m from our door step.
Children all ages are welcome. Children four years and under are accommodated at no charge. A camping cot is available on request.
For the last 11 years, Summerstrand Beach Lodge has been known as ‘the home away from home.’ It is a Guest House where you can enjoy our accommodation facilities at very reasonable rates. |
