The fishing in this area is mainly Bronze Bream, Cob, Poensie, Musselcracker, Baardman, Blacktail, Shad, Galjoen and other species common along our East Coast shores. There is a large dam below the house with great bird viewing, such as Fish Eagle, Plover, Coot and Geese. The rest of the farm is teeming with birdlife and ground hornbill have even been spotted. The farm has a very healthy population of the rare Oribi and the other common species of Bushbuck, Duiker, Grysbok, Blue Duiker, Common Reedbuck, Impala and occasional Kudu.
Within a 50km radius of the farm, you have Bushman’s River, Kariega River, Kasouga River, Kowie River, Riet River, East and West Kleinemond Rivers and the mighty Fish River. These are all navigable whether you like fishing, water skiing or canoeing.
The Alexandria hiking trail is a must for hikers as it takes you through the beautiful Alexandria forest and over the massive sand dunes of Woody Cape where you camp in an overnight hut on top of the Kantzes and return along the beach and back through the forest.
There is also the 3 Sisters Horse Trail and the Fish River Horse Trail for the keen horse lovers. There are a large variety of game parks on offer close by, such as Shamwari, Kariega, Kwandwe, Lalibela, Amakhala, Greater Fish reserve and Addo Elephant National Park.
